The Starsky and Hutch Archive of Film Clips
Starsky and Hutch was originally filmed on 35mm film. The "Dailies",the raw, unedited footage filmed during the day, was used by the film crew to monitor the filming. Most of the original Starsky and Hutch "Dailies" were lost to history. Dailies included film never seen in the episode including Clapper Boards, Bloopers, Trimmed Scenes and Alternate Takes. We found packages of the lost dailies and are showing them here. THESE ARE RARE AND POSSIBLY THE ONLY ONES TO EXIST!
Starsky and Hutch Clapper Boards
This is a "Clapper Board" from Starsky and Hutch. Clappers were used to assist in synchronizing of picture and sound, and to designate and mark the various scenes and takes as they are filmed and audio-recorded.

Alternate Take
When a scene is shot for a television show, usually multiple cameras are filming at the same time. There may be one closely focused on each actor plus one pulled back to show the whole scene. Sometimes, the director or actor might want to try the scene again with minor changes. In the original, this scene from the Plague Part 1. Hutch is calm and focused with his mouth closed. This is an ALTERNATE TAKE.

Starsky and Hutch Blooper Film Clips
Bloopers or mistakes during filming were discarded and were sometimes marked with a pen. These are highly collectible because it includes a moment which did not make it to the final episode.
Trimmed Scene
A Trimmed Scene is film left over after editing the show together. Usually a couple of extra seconds of film are shot while the actor walks into the scene, takes a breath before he starts talking etc; or at the end right before the director shouts "Cut!" Tn this Film Clip from Playboy Island, this must take place after Starsky swims to estate but before Starsky and Hitch fight in the dirt and he is wearing the charm pouch. This did not appear in the episode.
